A drake thats been set up for 0.0 belt ratting usually has a strong enough tank to simply outlast any other BC and many BS's and HACs despite having poor DPS. But then, that opponent can simply warp out at any time because you don't have a scram fitted most likely on your drake. The most miserable pvp experience I ever had was when I tried to 1v1 a Drake in a brutix fitted with medium ECM drones. IT NEVER EVER ENDED! I ended up just leaving after I ran out of ammo and booster charges because thanks to my ECM drones, he couldnt maintain a lock on me long enough to break my tank and I just plain couldn't break his (was using Modal Electron Particle Accelerators + faction ammo). The nice thing was that I had the luxury of simply leaving because drake pilots cant fit scrams without compromising their tank.
You're an idiot. Hamcraft is absolutely right when he says he is confident of killing any BC or HAC in a 1v1, with a Drake, although nanoboats are obviously difficult to tackle. A properly fit Drake will kill a Deimos without much trouble, hell, you can do it under sentry fire. Drake vs. Hurricane would only end one way.
I know that a Drake can kill any other BC or HAC 1v1, but it does so by outlasting their opponent, since no matter how you fit a drake it will never have DPS on par with any other BC or HAC. Problem is passive shield tanking ships like the drake need to devote all their mids to their tank with no tackle. When engaging a drake 1v1, you will ALWAYS have the opportunity to just up and leave (provided youre in something with a half decent tank) because theyre slow and you cant fit them with an mwd + scram without destroying their tank. I've never fought a drake before where I couldn't just up and leave when I saw I couldn't break his tank in a reasonable amount of time. The problem with 1v1 is that agreeing to a 1v1 means waiving your right to warp away essentially, regardless of whether or not he has a scram fitted, which means giving the advantage to the drake. He can now go in there with a totally pve/ratting setup and beat you just be outlasting you.
you should read more carefully before you go off posting things that make you look stupid, for example THIS doesnt look like a ratting setup to me as for honoring 1v1 i do...
